Dr. Jeannette Tokuyama
Dr. Jeannette Tokuyama grew up in the Conejo Valley since she was thirteen years of age. She was in the first graduating class of Westlake High School, and then attended the University of California at Davis for her undergraduate education, receiving a Bachelors of Science in Zoology. She received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from the USC School of Dentistry where she was a member of the dental honor society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon. She is a member of the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, and the Santa Barbara-Ventura County Dental Society where she has served as Dental Health Chair and a CPR instructor. She also belongs to the Conejo Valley Academy of Dentists, a local study club.
Dr. Tokuyama has been practicing general dentistry since 1988, and is extremely dedicated to her practice in Simi Valley where she has been located since 1991. The family dental practice that she joined at that time was one of the first established dental practices in Simi Valley. She has assistants, hygienists, and receptionists who have been working with her for over 20 years.
The scope of Dr. Tokuyama's practice includes, but is not limited to, treating both children and adults, restoring implants, and providing all porcelain crowns and tooth colored fillings. Her goal is to deliver comprehensive dental care of the highest quality. She prides herself on having an office and staff that will make her patient’s visits as comfortable and pleasant as possible. What inspires her the most is when patients pay her the greatest compliment by entrusting their friends and family to her.
On a more personal note, Dr. Tokuyama is always looking for a creative outlet whether that be photography, art, or jewelry making. She also loves skiing, working out, and any activity that has to do with being outdoors. She especially enjoys fly fishing with her husband and son in places like Montana, Wyoming, Idaho, New Mexico, and the Sierras.
Dr. Lisa Hansen
Dr. Lisa Hansen grew up in Simi Valley. She graduated with honors from CSUN with a Bachelor of Science degree in Cell and Molecular Biology. At CSUN she worked with Presidential Award Recipient, Steven Oppenheimer on cancer cell research. She received her Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from the prestigious UCLA School of Dentistry, in 2000. Dr. Hansen was the UCLA representative for the USC/UCLA Mobile Clinic that provided dental care to indigent children. Graduating at the top of her class, she was inducted into the exclusive Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society. With the goal of joining a family dental practice, Dr. Hansen was honored to be asked by Drs. Spayde and Tokuyama to join her hometown dental practice where she was herself a patient. She chose to commit to practice in this location because of the practice's longtime good standing in the community and the practice’s relationship-based style of care. She has practiced continuously at this location since 2000. Dr. Hansen recently had the honor to be awarded the distinction of "America's Best Dentists 2016". In addition, Dr. Hansen is a " Recognized Expert contributor in areas of Cosmetic Dentistry and Invisalign" for realself.com, an online plastic surgery and cosmetic dentistry patient/doctor forum.
Dr. Hansen's professional mission is to provide her patients with personalized, comprehensive dental care in a warm and relaxing atmosphere. She welcomes patients of all ages and has had the privilege of treating many families with 3 and 4 generations of family members in the practice! She has treated thousands of patients that love coming to the dentist, but she knows that some people avoid dental care because of fear. She has created an office atmosphere and trained her staff to help dental phobic patients overcome their fear. With communication, individualized treatment planning and gentle care, she wants to help all her patients learn to love coming to the dentist and to love their smile.

Dr. Hansen is currently a member of the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association and the Santa Barbara-Ventura County Dental Association. She is a former Rotary International Club of Simi Sunset founding member and former Rotary International Club Secretary. She has traveled to Mexico with Rotary International as a liason to investigate international charity. She is an annual supporter of International Children’s Cancer Society and a member of National Charity League. She is a volunteer to provide dental work to underprivileged children through the Santa Barbara-Ventura Dental Society. She has been married to her college sweetheart, since 1997. She and her husband have three children. In her free time, Dr. Hansen enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, gardening and traveling.
